So it is your memories of nature that bring you to your “happy place” or in fact your memories of your family and people brought about by thinking about nature that brightens your mood? Are your memories of nature the fuel itself, or a catalyst to access the REAL fuel?

Great. Your happy place sounds absoluetly fantastic. But probably no visitors allowed there with you – otherwise it wouldn’t be as peaceful and quiet!

I like the way you descirbe Tintern Abbey as Wordsworth’s “happy place”! I think its great to have a “happy place” that you can think back to when you are feeling worn out or stressed. I find it so relaxing just to lie in my backyard looking up at this big gum tree and the sky beyond it. This is such a simple thing to do and yet the memory gives me a real sense of peace and contentment. I find it comforting to think that after a hard day that place will still be there for me to enjoy.
